Project Description: Malouf Construction is proud to serve as the General Contractor and Design-Build partner for the expansion of Salad Days Produce, a pioneering hydroponic agriculture business based in Flora, Mississippi.
This major project represents a $8.18 million corporate investment in Madison County and will create at least 12 new jobs, supporting both local economic growth and sustainable food production.
As a woman-owned, local business, Salad Days Produce specializes in pesticide-free, hydroponically grown lettuce, supplying restaurants and food-service providers with fresh, high-quality produce year-round.
The expansion includes the construction of a state-of-the-art, 65,000-square-foot Controlled-Environment Agriculture (CEA) facility in the Flora Industrial Park. This addition will significantly scale Salad Days’ production capabilities—increasing output by eight times—and enable the company to serve larger grocery chains and regional distributors.
