Project Description: Malouf was selected to construct the replacement loading dock at the Farmer’s Grain Terminal in Mound, LA. The project consists of (2) construction areas: Land Based and Water Based work. The land based work includes the tail tower through the drive tower supported by various size pipe piles from 18” to 48”. The marine work includes the load out tower with various size pipe pile form 36” to 48” diameter pipe plie and the 54” Diameter mooring dolphins for barge positioning. In total, there is approximately 750 feet of conveyor system with approximately 1 Mile of driven pipe pile. Also included in the work is a significant structural and mechanical system along with an electrical control system. Revetment repair along the river banks will be necessary at the conclusion of the project.
